About Small Hope
Small Hope is an informal holiday resort located on Andros Island, Bahamas. The lodge was hand built by Dick Birch and his family and friends out of coral rock and Andros' famous hardy pine. A friendly relaxed atmosphere that many great people, from world leaders to famous artists, have stayed and called home each time they came.
At Small Hope Bay Lodge TOTALLY all inclusive means that after your taxi drops you off, you won't need your wallet again until the end of your stay. We have free wifi available in our lounge and bar areas. But our cabins are blissfully disconnected from the hustle and bustle of day to day life - no TVs, no internet, no clocks, NO WORRIES!
At Small Hope we help you to find the true getaway you are looking for, and help you disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Relax in our informal and natural surroundings, no need for shoes so bare feet is the norm and most people wear t-shirts, sarongs or anything that lets you relax. We have phone and fax available for use in the office and our free wifi covers the lounge, reading room, outside bar and both dining areas. To help you relax and disconnect we have no newspapers, and no TVs, but we do have the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world, the best Bonefishing anywhere, kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, hot tub and beaches. There is also a small boutique where you can buy island crafts and souvenirs and any other toiletries you may need.
The Lodge
This historic Lodge is home to one of our dining and bar areas, a comfortable lounge with cushy couches and throw pillows. There is a games room, and reading room with extensive library, which connect to the lounge. Our embracing and relaxed atmosphere makes this a truly unique Bahamian hotel.
Outside on the water's edge, and next to our beach is a well-stocked FREE bar and dining area, with amazing night views of the sky, and a short stroll down to our dock. Nothing says relaxation better than sipping a cocktail underneath a starry sky listening to the waves gently lapping the shore while talking about an amazing dive, or the latest big catch of the day.

Small Hope Solar
In 2013, Small Hope embarked on a project to convert all our water heaters to solar. This is just an extension of our commitment to sustainable practices throughout our resort. All hot water in every cabin, the kitchen, lounge, and hot tub is now on solar heaters! We will continue to strive toward more environmental methods at our resort and continue to give back to our community.
